Sir Hugh Acland, 6th Baronet
Sir Hugh Acland, 6th Baronet (26 January 1697 – 29 July 1728) was the son of John Acland and Elizabeth Acland.
Succession
He succeeded his grandfather as baronet on the latter's death on 9 March 1714. On his death in 1728 he was succeeded in the baronetcy by his eldest son.
Career
He was Member of Parliament for Barnstaple, 1721–1727.
Marriage & progeny
He married Cicely Wrothe, eldest daughter and eventual sole heiress of Sir Thomas Wroth, 3rd Baronet (1674–1721), MP, of Petherton Park, Somerset, by his wife Mary Osbaldeston, by whom he had progeny:
- Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, 7th Baronet (1722–1785)
- Arthur Palmer Acland (b. c1728)
- John Acland (c.1728–1796)
