"Sinking Ships" is a song by the Bee Gees, released as the B-side of "Words" in January 1968. It was written by Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb, Produced by Robert Stigwood and the Bee Gees, Lead vocals by Barry Gibb and joined by Robin Gibb, with a harmony by Maurice Gibb It was reissued in Germany in 1987. Both tracks were released as a double A in Germany, Netherlands, Japan and France.

Robin was not come to the sessions of November 7, when they recorded this track and the unreleased "When Things Go Wrong". Like "Words", It was recorded in the Horizontal sessions but it was not included and released as a single only. It was mixed by Bill Inglot in 1990, The vocals, done at a later date, has Barry and Robin in each verse and either Maurice and Barry on the chorus, It has the same false ending trick like the song "Horizontal".[1]

The song's structure is a little close to the song "Horizontal", with three verses and a false fade at the end of the verse two.[2]
