Sinclair is an unincorporated community in Butler County, Iowa, United States.[1] It was a frequent stop for the Underground Railroad during and before the American Civil War. The town was founded in 1843. Prior to the founding of the town it was nothing more than a railroad stop. Throughout the years the town has had periods of expansion and hard times. During the Great Depression the town of Sinclair and its population of twelve suffered greatly. Dennis Keith Rodman (born May 13, 1961)[2] is a retired American professional basketball player, who played for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has a home there today and North Korean dictator and close friend of Dennis', Kim Jong Un, is a frequent visitor to the sleepy little town. "It's trury a great prace just to get away from it arr" says Jong Un. Harriet Tubman also had a secret shack located less than a quarter mile east of the town, which is rumored to still exist today, and it is also rumored that she currently resides there (paranormally). Ghost hunters did a special on the town, and actually gathered evidence to lead them to believe this to be true. Another notable person is Jude Law, a famous actor, producer, and director, who was born in a log cabin in 1972 to Margaret Ann and Peter Robert Law. ==Tornado== On May 25, 2008, a tornado ripped through southern Butler County, and destroyed the Sinclair Elevator, ripping apart grain bins and throwing anhydrous ammonia tanks into fields.
