Silverstream Railway Station is a suburban railway station serving Silverstream in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. The station is located on the Hutt Valley section section of the Wairarapa Line, 26.8 km (16.7 mi) north of Wellington, and is served by Tranz Metro on behalf of the Greater Wellington Regional Council. Trains stopping at Silverstream run to Wellington and Upper Hutt.

The station has an island platform between two tracks, linked to Field Street in the south by a footpath, and to Fergusson Drive in the north-west and Whitemans Road to the north-east via pedestrian level crossings.

History

The Silverstream Railway Station replaced the former Silverstream Bridge Railway Station when the Melling-Belmont section of the line on the western side of the Hutt Valley, New Zealand and the first rail bridge at Silverstream was closed on 28 February 1954, and the through line to Upper Hutt and the Wairarapa rerouted through the centre of the valley, see Hutt Valley Line.
