Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. is the United States affiliate of Siemens Audiology Group, which maintains a global headquarters in Singapore. Siemens Audiology Group, a division of Siemens Healthcare, consists of affiliates located in 24 countries around the world. Siemens Hearing Instruments is located in Piscataway, NJ, where approximately 500 employees work in manufacturing, research and development, sales, marketing finance, and customer care.[1]
Siemens has created hearing products for more than 130 years, and is the largest manufacturer of hearing instruments in the world. One out of every four hearing aids used worldwide is a Siemens product.[2]

In 2012, Siemens became a CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree[3] for its Aquaris® digital waterproof hearing aid. In 2013, the combination of Siemens miniTek® and miniTek® Remote App was named a 2014 CES Innovation Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the Accessible Technology category[4] for demonstrating ease-of-use for consumers, including seniors and people with disabilities. Also in 2013, Siemens received the Parent Tested, Parent Approved (PTPA) Winners Seal of Approval[5] for the Aquaris hearing aid.
