Siddhanth Kapoor is an Indian DJ, assistant director and actor.[3] Kapoor marked his debut in 2013 Shootout at Wadala. He assisted Anurag Kashyap in Ugly as well as made a cameo appearance.

Early life

Kapoor was born to actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor . He is the nephew of actress Tejaswini Kolhapure and Padmini Kolhapure.[4] His younger sister, Shraddha Kapoor is an actress in Hindi movies.[5]

Career

Kapoor had begun his career as a disk jockey and later on he started working as an assistant director for two years under Priyadarshan in films such as ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’ and ‘Dhol’.[6] He has also worked as an assistant director for Shootout At Wadala.

He was initially supposed to make his debut in Soham Shah’s 2012 flick ‘Satte Pe Satta’ which is a remake of the original 1982 Raj N. Sippy directed ‘Satte Pe Satta’, but the film was shelved. He thus made his acting debut in 2013 with the film Shootout at Wadala alongside Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, and Kangana Ranaut.,[7] which is a sequel to Apoorva Lakhia’s film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ (2007). He also wanted to work with the renowned director, Anurag Kashyap in his film ‘Ugly’ and he managed to get a role in the film. This film which has Tejaswini Kolhapure, Pallavi Sharda and Ronit Roy amongst its cast crew, has been selected for the Cannes Film Festival Director’s Fortnight sidebar.[6]
