Siang District is the 19th newly created district of the state Arunachal Pradesh.[1] Pangin is the temporary headquarters of the district. The district is being formed by taken the small part of East Siang & West Siang.
Geography
The district headquarters are located at Pangin.
Languages
Siang District is purely Adi people residing inside it. Languages spoken include Adi, a Sino-Tibetan tongue with approximately 140 000 speakers, written in both the Tibetan and Latin scripts.[2]
