Shunem

Shunem (Hebrew: שׁוּנֵם; Douay-Rheims: Sunam) is a small village mentioned in the Bible. It was located in the tribe of Issachar, to the north of Jezreel and south of Mount Gilboa Joshua 19,18.

Shunem is listed on the towns conquered by the Egyptian pharaohs Thutmose III and Shoshenk I.[1]

Shunem is identified in some sources with the modern village of Sulam.[1]
