Shuangjiangkou Town (simplified Chinese: 双江口镇; traditional Chinese: 雙江口鎮; pinyin: Shuāngjiāngkǒu Zhèn), is an urban town in Ningxiang County, Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. It is surrounded by Chengjiao Township and Jinghuapu Township on the west, Jinzhou Town and Lijingpu Township on the southeast, Zhuliangqiao Township, Xinkang Township and Getang Town on the northeast, and Henglongqiao Town on the northwest. As of the 2000 census it had a population of 50,157 and an area of 62.9 square kilometers.

The Town is divided into 12 villages and 2 communities: Shuangjiangkou Community (双江口社区), Xinxiang Community (新香社区), Gaotiansi Village (高田寺村), Shuangfu Village (双福村), Shuangdong Village (双东村), Shuangqing Village (双青村), Shuangjiangkou Village (双江口村), Shanyuan Village (山园村), Wuyi Village (五一村), Baiyu Village (白玉村), Tanshuwan Village (檀树湾村), Changlian Village (长联村), Yangliuqiao Village (杨柳桥村) and Changxing Village (长兴村).

Geography

The Wei River, known as "Mother River" and a tributary of the Xiang River, flows through the town.[1]

Education

There are one senior high school located with the town limits:Ningxiang County Eleventh Senior High School (宁乡十一中).

Culture

Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.

Transportation

The Changchang Highway (长常高速公路) running through Shuangjiangkou Town, Chengjiao Township, Jinghuapu Township. The Jinzhou Highway (金洲大道) from Yutan Town, running through Chengjiao Town, Shuangjiangkou Town, Jinzhou Town, to Yuelu District, Changsha City.[1]
