Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (SRIEIT), popularly known as RIT Shiroda or RIT, is an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved, private engineering school/institution affiliated to Goa University located in Shiroda, Goa. The institution consists of three academic departments.

Established in 2001, it is one of three engineering colleges in the state of Goa and awards the Bachelor of Engineering or BE in the following branches:

Memorandum of Understanding

National Institute of Oceanography

On 19 September 2005 an MOU was signed between the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Dona Paula, Goa, through its headquarters, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research [CSIR], New Delhi and SRIEIT. NIO is involved in research, consultancy, education and training in all the disciplines of oceanography and allied fields at its headquarters and regional centres in India, whereas SRIEIT is involved in academics, training and research.

A-Connexion Management Services

On 18 October 2005 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between A-Connexion Management Services (ACMS), Navi-Mumbai and SSRIEIT. ACMS is involved in manpower supply to all cooperate and private sectors and placements, whereas SRIEIT is involved in academics, training and research related to electronics and telecommunication, computers and information technology.

Scope

Placement

RIT has a training-and-placement (TP) cell headed by a TP officer. 26 students from the first batch were placed through campus recruitment. Similarly, 51 students from the second batch, 116 students from the third, and 115 students from the fourth were placed. 32 of the current third year have been placed by campus placement.

Training

The Training and Placement Cell of the institute headed by the Training and Placement Officer is responsible for arranging training of the students to meet their degree requirement; the officer provides job opportunities to undergraduate students for jobs in industry and private and public sector organizations. The Training and Placement Cell arranges senior executives of major industries and organizations to provide pre-placement orientation to the students before formal campus interviews.
