Showground Central railway station was a temporary station in the inner southern Adelaide suburb of Wayville, located 4.4 kilometres from Adelaide station. The station was only used during the Royal Adelaide Show in early September each year.[1]
The station was only erected when the show was running and the components were stored in between times. When in place, it was located between Keswick and Goodwood stations. Services usually departed every 15 minutes from Adelaide, running express to and from the Showgrounds.[2]
The temporary station was last used in 2013. A permanent Adelaide Showground station opened in February 2014.[3][4]
