Shobu Yarlagadda (born 19 March 1971) is an Indian film Producer, Co-founder and CEO of Arka Mediaworks, a company involved in movie and television production in the country of India. He is the son in law of famous veteran director K.Raghavendra Rao.[1]
Personal life
Shobu Yarlagadda is the son-in-law of commercial director K.Raghavendra Rao .[2] Born in Gudivada in Krishna District, he presently lives in Hyderabad. He was a 1986 graduate of Timpany School, Vishakapatnam. He graduated in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Andhra University in 1992. He went on to Texas A&M and graduated in Environmental Engineering in 1994. For over an year and the half, he worked as an Air Resources Engineer in Greater Los Angeles Area for California Air Resources Board. In 2001 he established Arka Mediaworks with Prasad Deveneni.
Professional life
In 2001, he established Arka Mediaworks; Arka means sunrays in Sanskrit. Arka Mediaworks is one of the most reputed production houses in India. It produces television content in six languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Oriya, Bangla and Marati). He has worked as line producer for various movies like Morning Raaga and Anaganaga O Dheerudu. He was Executive Producer for the movies Bobby and Pandurangadu
