Shin-Urayasu Station (新浦安駅 Shin-Urayasu-eki) is a railway station in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).[1]

Lines

Shin-Urayasu Station is served by the Keiyō Line between Tokyo and Soga, and by Musashino Line through services between Tokyo and Fuchū-Hommachi. The station is located 16.1 km from the western terminus of the line at Tokyo Station.[2]

Station layout

The elevated station consists of two island platforms serving four tracks.[2] The station has a "Midori no Madoguchi" staffed ticket office.[1]

The outer tracks (1 and 4) are generally used by stopping trains to allow non-stop trains to pass.[2]

The station opened on December 1, 1988.[2]

In fiscal 2010, the JR East station was used by an average of 54,779 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3]
