Silpakala vedika is an auditorium and convention centre located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The auditorium is 60,000 sq ft (5,600 m2). Large amount of terracotta was used in the building. Silpa means sculpture, kala means art, and vedika means platform. The convention center includes an auditorium, which is flexible in design and offers a variety of configuration selections, and is known for Telugu film audio release functions.[1]
The auditorium
Silpakala vedika is on a 60,000 sq ft (5,600 m2) area, on a 5 acres (20,000 m2) land, with a capacity to seat 2,500 people. It is a state-of-the-art facility comprising a press room, cafeteria, modern multi-media projection system, luxurious green rooms, good acoustics and exquisite ethnic decor. This auditorium is given for lease by the Government to M/S Sanpra Group and M/S Alif Group.

- ACCE SIMPLEX AWARD 2006 for Innovative Design of Structures other than Industrial structure to S Sathyanarayana, Hyderabad for Design of Silpakala Vedika Multi Purpose Indoor Auditorium.[2]
