Shifa College of Medicine is a medical school located in Islamabad, Pakistan 33°25′N 73°02′E / 33.41°N 73.04°E. Shifa was affiliated with Bahria University, but was granted a University Charter by the President of Pakistan. It is now affiliated with the Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. The school was founded in 1998 by Shifa foundation.
The college is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED), WHO Directory of Medical Schools, and is a member of International Association of Medical Regulatory Authority (IAMRA).

It is affiliated with Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Approval
It is recognized from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan has given approval for training in the specialties of Physiology, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Urology, and Radiology, leading to FCPS qualification.[1]
Recognition
Shifa College of Medicine is recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council has allowed Shifa College of Medicine to enroll 100 students per year. A total of 500 students are in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course.[2]
Shifa College of Nursing is recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).[3]
Admissions
International applicants
A requirement is procurement of a certificate from a government office of the Ministry of Education called the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). This office attempts to translate foreign qualifications into Pakistani equivalents. It has its own requirements, and it can take time.[4]
