Shergarh Taluka
Shergarh Taluka is a taluka in Jodhpur District of Rajasthan state in western India.[1] Headquarters for the taluka is the village of Shergarh.
Shergarh Taluka is a western taluka among the eleven talukas in Jodhpur District. It borders Phalodi Taluka to the north, Balesar Taluka to the east, Barmer District to the south and southwest, and Jaisalmer District to the west.[2]
History
In 2009 Shergarh Taluka was divided, with the eastern half becoming Balesar Taluka, before that Balesar had been a subtehsil within Shergarh, even though it had had a separate panchayat samiti.[3]
