Shanavas is an Indian actor in Malayalam movies as well as Tamil films. He is the son of actor Prem Nazir. He has acted more than 50 Malayalam films.

Background

Shanavas was born at Thiruvananthapuram as the son of Malayalam actor Prem Nazir and Habeeba Beevi. He has three sisters. He had his primary education from Chirayakeezhu English Medium School, Montfort School, Yercaud and pursued Masters degree from The New College, Chennai.[1] He made his debut through Premageethangal a Malayalam movie in 1981. He could not repeat the success like his father. He left movie industry late 1980s and concentrated on business. He made his comeback through a 2011 Malayalam movie, China Town. He is looking forward to his new movie Zachariayude Garbhinikal which is a 2013 Malayalam Movie.

Family

Shanavas is settled in Malaysia. Shanavas's wife Ayishabevi is the daughter of the eldest sister of Prem Nazir, Late Suleikha Beevi. The couple have two sons Shameer Khan and Ajith Khan. Shameer tried his luck in Malayalam movie Uppukandam Brothers Back in Action but was unsuccessful and now working in a ship in Malaysia. Ajith Khan is working in Australia. [2]
