Shakti Chauhan (born 11 March 1980) is an Indian football coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach at Delhi Dynamos.[2] He had previously managed and been the head of academy coaching and development at Tata Football Academy.[3]

Managerial career

Early years

Shakti started as a football coach at the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) and is posted at the Regional Coaching Centre in Ahmedabad. Shakti also runs the Youth Club Soccer Academy (YCSA) and training centre at Shreyas School in Nehrunagar. As a footballer,Shakti has represented Gujarat in five school nationals, three open nationals,two university championships and one Santosh Trophy for senior nationals. He was a member of the bronze medal winning team in U-19 school nationals in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Shakti also featured twice in the west zone team which played in the 2nd Division National Football League [4] The Sports Authority of Gujarat coach has been named assistant coach of India U16 women's team for the AFC U-16 Women's Championship in Sri Lanka [5]

TATA Football Academy

In 2013, Chauhan appointed as head coach of India's prestigious Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur.[6] Not even a year in TFA, Chauhan led the junior team to their maiden U19 I-League title.[7]

Delhi Dynamos

Shakti Chauhan has been appointed assistant coach of Delhi Dynamos Football Club, a franchise in the newly launched Indian Super League.[8] Chauhan was the assistant coach under the Dutch-Belgian coach Harm van Veldhoven in 2014 ISL season.
