Shooting started 23 July 1956.[1] It was the first in a series of films for Sunset Productions who distributed through AIP.[2]

Critical response
Allmovie gave the film a rating of 2 stars. A review by Cinemania criticized the actors "for the way they chew up the scenes!".[3]
