Setina aurita is a moth of the Arctiidae family. It is only found in the Alps between 1,000 and 3,000 meters above sea level.
The wingspan is 25–32 mm. The moth flies from April to October depending on the location.
The larvae feed on Xanthoria parietina and other lichen species.
