Serhiy Georgievich Kushniryuk (or from Russian Sergei Georgiyevich Kushniryuk, Ukrainian: Сергій Георгійович Кушнiрюк, Russian: Серге́й Георгиевич Кушнирюк, born March 15, 1956 in village Vytelivka, Chernivtsi Oblast[1]) is a former Soviet/Ukrainian handball player who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. He became the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1976.[2]

In 1976 he won the gold medal with the Soviet team. He played all six matches and scoed four goals. Four years later he was part of the Soviet team which won the silver medal. He played five matches including the final and scored twelve goals.
