Sergio Scariolo (born April 1, 1961 in Brescia, Italy) is an Italian professional basketball head coach.
Coaching career
Professional clubs
From 2003 to 2007, Scariolo was the head coach of the Spanish club Baloncesto Málaga, in five seasons he was able to win the ACB Spanish League, the Copa del Rey, and to play in the Euroleague Final Four.
From 2008 to 2010, Scariolo was the head coach of the Russian club Khimki Moscow Region. Starting with the 2011-12 season, he became the head coach of the Italian League club Olimpia Milano. In June, he became head coach of Laboral Kutxa, 14 years after his first experience in the team of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
National teams
While the head coach of the senior men's Spanish national basketball team, Scariolo won the gold medal at both the EuroBasket 2009 and the EuroBasket 2011.
