Semiahmoo Point Lighthouse (/ˌsɛmiˈɑːmoʊ/ SEM-ee-AH-moh) was a lighthouse in Washington, United States, near the port of Blaine, Washington. It was replaced by various structures on the pile foundation.[1]
History
Semiahmoo Point Lighthouse was built near Blaine, Washington, close to the Canadian border, in 1905. The light station consisted of a 1 1⁄2-story dwelling built on a platform supported by wooden piles.[2] It was deactivated in 1944.[3] Its design by Carl Leick was identical to Desdemona Sands Light.[4]
