Sedgehill and Semley

Sedgehill and Semley is a civil parish in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of the town of Shaftesbury on the main A350 road. It is in the southwest of Wiltshire and adjoins Dorset. Its main settlements are Sedgehill and Semley. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 601.[1]

Governance

The parish was created in 1986 by combining formerly separate parishes.[2] The parish elects a parish council. It is in the area of Wiltshire Council unitary authority, which is responsible for all significant local government functions.

The parish is in the UK Parliament constituency of South West Wiltshire.
