Señora Acero (English: Lady Acero), is an American telenovela produced by Telemundo and distributed by Telemundo Television Studios and Argos Comunicación.

Starring Blanca Soto as the "Señora Acero", while Marco Pérez, Jorge Zárate, Rebecca Jones and José Luis Reséndez star as the antagonists. And special participation of Litzy, Damián Alcázar, Rossana San Juan, Andrés Palacios and Lincoln Palomeque.

Telemundo will air the serial as part of the 2014-16 season. As with most of its other telenovelas, the network will broadcast English subtitles as closed captions on CC3.

On January 13, 2015, it was confirmed that the series would have a second season, the telenovela production will begin in may 2015.[2]

Synopsis

Señora Acero, tells the story of a woman, Sara, who was happily married to Vicente Acero, a commander. The day of their official wedding, a group of hit men tried to kill Vicente, failed but ended up killing Sara's father. Later, the cartel killed her husband believing he stole 3 million dollars. Sara had to escape to Guadalajara to save her son. Later she discovered that her husband did steal these 3 million dollars. When she tried to get the money, the cartel took it from her. She returned to Guadalajara where she met another PGR agent".[3]

Background

The telenovela might have starred Sandra Echeverría,[4] but Blanca Soto was selected for the role of protagonist. The title of the telenovela was first "Mujer de Acero", then later was changed to "Señora Acero".[5][6]
