Scripts At Work was a playwriting organisation based in Red Deer, Alberta.[1] It was founded in 2003 by Lynda Adams and Tanya Ryga and ceased activity at the end of 2014.[2][3] Aspiring playwrights submitted scripts to the organisation each year, and a jury of literary professionals selected some to be developed further under the guidance of professional theatre directors and dramaturges.[4] Literary professionals who have served on Scripts At Work juries include Vanessa Porteous, Trevor Schmidt, Eric Rose, Glenda Stirling, and Mieko Ouchi.[5] The screenplay for the film Tumaini was adapted from a script that was selected by Scripts At Work.[6] Scripts At Work also hosted an annual fundraiser at Red Deer College.[7]
