Scripps Mercy Hospital is a private Catholic teaching hospital located in San Diego, California. Founded in 1890, it is the oldest hospital in San Diego County and has campuses in Chula Vista, and Hillcrest. The hospital has 700 acute-care licensed beds and employs 1,300 physicians. The Hillcrest campus is home to one of only two regional Level I Trauma Centers and receives more than 2,100 trauma patients each year.[3]
