Scott Oelslager (born October 15, 1953) is a Republican politician from Ohio who currently represents the 29th District in the Ohio Senate. He previously held the same seat from 1985 to 2002 and also served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2003 to 2010. Oelslager is the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.[2]

Life and career

A graduate of Mount Union College, Oelslager was first appointed to the Ohio Senate in 1985,[3] and was re-elected in 1987 with 52% of the vote.[4] He was re-elected for three further terms.[3] In 2002 he was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives for the 51st district,[5] and was re-elected in 2004,[6] 2006[7] and 2008.[8]
