Scott McGregor (born April 1981, Albury, New South Wales) is an Australian model, television presenter and actor.

Career

Since 2005, McGregor has worked as a model on the Nine Network programme Temptation, as well as television presenting work for Foxtel. McGregor has done photo shoots for Men's Health Australia, Cleo, DNA and Boyfriend, as well as television commercials for a beer product and print advertisements for a range of products including clothing and underwear. McGregor is also a trained graphic designer.[2] In 2006, McGregor was a contestant in Cleo's Bachelor of the Year contest.[2] McGregor was named one of fifty finalists in the 2011 contest.[3] In January 2008, McGregor began presenting a motoring show called Blood, Sweat and Gears on Foxtel's Fox8.[4] That same year, he appeared in an episode of Underbelly.[5] The following year, McGregor made an appearance in Carla Cametti PD.[5]

In August 2010, it was announced that McGregor had joined soap opera Neighbours, as Detective Mark Brennan.[5][6] McGregor had a six month contract with the show, which was later extended to a year.[6][7] However, in February 2011, it was announced that McGregor was to leave Neighbours in April 2011.[8][9] McGregor revealed that he is leaving to pursue modelling opportunities in Europe and new acting roles.[10][11] McGregor also revealed that he would not rule out a return to Neighbours in the future.[11] McGregor made a guest appearance on the drama series Winners & Losers in March 2011.[12] In April 2012, McGregor appeared in Offspring.[13] On 4 November 2012, it was confirmed that McGregor would be returning to Neighbours in May 2013 for a brief stint.[14] McGregor reprised the role again in October 2013 and made his screen return in February 2014.[15] He appeared in a documentary special celebrating the show's 30th anniversary titled Neighbours 30th: The Stars Reunite, which aired in Australia and the UK in March 2015.[16][17]

Personal life

McGregor dated his Temptation co-model Chelsea Butler from November 2006 to 2011.[18][19][20] McGregor's hobbies include surfing, AFL, cricket, golf, poker and music.[21]
