The Scotch Whisky Experience

The Scotch Whisky Experience is a large tourist attraction in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is located on Castlehill in the Old Town of Edinburgh, immediately adjacent to the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.

The attraction offers a whisky tutoring session that takes place in the form of a tour around its building, with an automated barrel ride through a virtual distillery, a 'sensory' presentation on the various whisky regions, and a guided whisky tasting within the vault containing the Diageo Claive Vidiz Whisky Collection. Various different tours are offered to suit level of interest.

The building also houses a specialist Scotch whisky shop, and a restaurant and whisky bar called 'Amber' specialising in Scottish cuisine.
