Scorpius Space Launch Company

Scorpius Space Launch Company (SSLC) is an American private space launch company that aims to provide space launch vehicles and provides components as well as mission engineering for space missions.[1] It was a spin-off from Microcosm, Inc.[2]

Proposed launch vehicles

SR-M Suborbital

A sounding rocket (suborbital) with apogee of 200 nautical miles (370 km; 230 mi). As of November 2013, the company website claims that the SR-M Suborbital is "in production."[1]

Sprite

A test-phase light-lift rocket capable of launching 1,060 pounds (480 kg) to low Earth orbit LEO.[1]

Liberty

A design-phase light-lift rocket notionally capable of launching 4,200 pounds (1,900 kg) to LEO.[1] As of November 2008, the Scorpius website stated that the Liberty launch vehicle design was complete.[2]

Exodus

A design-phase medium-lift rocket notionally capable of launching 19,700 pounds (8,900 kg) to LEO.[1]

Space Freighter

A proposed medium- to heavy-lift rocket notionally capable of launching 33,700 pounds (15,300 kg) to LEO.[1]
