Sclerophthora macrospora is a species of water mold. It is an important plant pathogen that infects more than 140 kinds of cereals including rice, corn, and wheat. The disease is more commonly known as the crazy top disease because its most striking symptom is phyllody of the ears and tassels.[1][2]
