School House Corner

The A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road at School House Corner, Ramsey, Isle of Man.

School House Corner (formerly known as Russell's Corner) is a corner on the primary A3 road in the parish of Lezayre in the Isle of Man. It is situated between the 23rd and 24th milestone road marker for the Mountain Course on the A3 Lezayre Road in the town of Ramsey used for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix Races.

The corner was part of the Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy automobile car races held in the Isle of Man between 1905 and 1911. Also School House Corner was part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT Races and Manx Grand Prix. The name derives from the nearby Ramsey Grammar School and was formerly known as Russell's Corner after Benjy Russell[1] crashed fatally during the Lightweight Race for the 1949 Manx Grand Prix.[2]
