"Save Your Scissors" is the first single from City and Colour's album Sometimes, released in 2005. The song is entirely based on Dallas Green's voice and acoustic guitar playing, with no other instruments involved.

Content

The song addresses an on-again off-again relationship that Dallas had for many years, in which a girl wanted him to be somebody that he essentially wasn't.

Music video

The music video shows Dallas' everyday life living in St. Catharines, Ontario, with his playing, eating lunch, stopping by a music store, and going to a practice with Alexisonfire, among other things.
