Sarah Elizabeth Foster Born in Houston, Texas, is an American pop music singer and songwriter.

She has graduated the Stratford High School in Houston, Texas, and then the University of Miami in 2004. She holds a bachelor's degree in music. She has also studied voice and dance in Oberaudorf, Germany.[1]

Her first CD, Gardening from the Ground Up Part 1, was released on December 2, 2008. It is being released under a Creative Commons - attribution, non-commercial, share-alike license. Creative Commons allows people to remix Foster's songs and sync them to YouTube videos without asking permission. However, any derivative works must be noncommercial, attributed to Foster and also use the same Creative Commons license.[2]

She founded Studio Sarah Records and Studio Sarah Music Publishing on July 7, 2008.

Foster performs with her band in New York City, where she has lived since 2005. Formed soon after the completion of her first album, Foster's band includes Kenji Shinagawa on guitar and harmonica, Caleigh Drane on cello and Nancy Gort on viola.

She is a keen environmentalist, her label is "eco-friendly", printing CD covers on recycled paper, and donating portion of her sales to the 1% For The Planet foundation.[3]
