Sarıveli is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 36°56′N 34°43′E / 36.933°N 34.717°E it is situated in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity). Çukurova Motorway (O-51) is to the north and Turkish state highway D.400 is to the south of the village. The distance to Tarsus is 20 kilometres (12 mi) and to Mersin is 45 kilometres (28 mi).[1] The population of the village was 418 [2] as of 2012. It is a typical Çukurova village. cotton and fresh vegetables being the main crops.
