The Sapugaskanda Diesel Power Station is a 160 megawatt power station in Sapugaskanda, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. The power station consists of twelve generating units, supplied by MAN, and Siemens. Four of the units are rated at 20 MW, while the remaining eight are rated at 10 MW. The power station is operated by the Ceylon Electricity Board.[1]

Units 1-2 were commissioned in May 1984, unit 3 in September 1984, unit 4 in October 1984, units 5-8 in September 1997, and units 8-12 in October 1999. All units run on diesel.[2]
