Sankar Chakraborty is an Indian politician and the Minister for cooperation in the Council of Ministers of the Government of West Bengal.[1][2] He is a MLA, elected from the Balurghat constituency in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011.

Sankar Chakraborty, son of Byomkesh Chakraborty, was born in 1945. He holds a post graduate degree in commerce and a degree in law. He is an advocate.[3]
