Sanjeev Balyan is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the Indian general elections, 2014 from the Muzaffarnagar (Lok Sabha constituency).[1] He defeated Kadir Rana of BSP by a margin of more than 4 lakh votes. He has been appointed as minister of state for Agriculture and food processing in NDA Govt, 2014. He hails from a Jat family based in Kutba village of Muzaffarnagar district.[2][3]
Dr Sanjeev Balyan,is a PhD in Veterinary Anatomy from the Haryana Agricultural University. He has served as an Assistant Professor and as a veterinary surgeon with the Haryana Government.[4]
