Sangliana (Kannada: ಸಾಂಗ್ಲಿಯಾನ) is a 1988 Kannada action drama film directed, co-produced and written by P. Nanjundappa. It is loosely inspired by the life story of the cop-turned-politician H. T. Sangliana.[1] The film starred Shankar Nag, Bhavya and Tara in lead roles with actor Ambareesh making a special appearance.[2] The film is produced under "Pushpagiri Films" banner and the music is scored and composed by Hamsalekha.
The film was a blockbuster upon release and a sequel to this was made from the same cast and crew and released as S. P. Sangliyana Part 2 in 1990.
