Sandro Ramírez Castillo (born 9 July 1995), known as simply Sandro, is a Spanish footballer who plays for FC Barcelona B as a forward.
Club career
Born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Sandro joined FC Barcelona's youth setup in 2009, aged 14, after a brief period with UD Las Palmas. On 10 June 2013, he was promoted to FC Barcelona B,[1] and made his professional debut on 17 August, in a 1–2 away defeat against CD Mirandés.[2]
Sandro scored his first professional goal on 15 September, netting the first of a 2–0 home win against Real Madrid Castilla.[3] He finished the campaign with 31 appearances, scoring seven goals as the club finished third.
On 18 August 2014 Sandro scored the last of a 6–0 win against Club León for the year's Joan Gamper Trophy, after assisting Munir El Haddadi in the fifth.[4] He was also called-up to the main squad for the match against Elche CF,[5] but remained unused in the eventual 3–0 La Liga win on 24 August.[6]
Sandro made his debut in the Spanish top level on 31 August, replacing Pedro in the 69th minute and scoring the game's only goal 12 minutes later, in an away win against Villarreal CF.[7] He scored his first UEFA Champions League goal on 21 October, netting the last of a 3–1 home success against AFC Ajax.[8] He scored his first domestic cup goal on 16 December, in a 8-1 home win over SD Huesca.
