Sandilya

Sandilya is one of the Brahmin gotras,[1] named after the rishi Sandilya,[2] specifying that individuals of the gotra have Sandilya as one of their patrilineal ancestors. The Sandilyas are held to have constituted one of the three prominent families of Kanyakubja Brahmins.[3]
