Early Life

Sana was born in Ernakulam, Kerala, India to Mr. Althaf and Shameena Altaf. She is a student of Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya Kakanadu.

Career

Acting happened accidentally to Sana, When she accompanied her aunt choreographer Sajna Sajam to the sets of Vikramadhityan directed by laljose. She was casted as Dulquers sister in Vikramadityan.

Sana was called to do the lead heroine in James Albert’s ‘Mariyan Mukku’(2015) opposite Fahadh Faasil. She gives life to Salomy, girl who studied in a convent and is close to Felix played by Fahadh Faasil. Salomy is the daughter of a ‘Saiyippu’, a member of the Anglo Indian community settled in Kerala. Unlike her character in Vikaramadithyan, Sana has too many dialogues in ‘Mariyan Mukku’. Even though little bit tensed in the initial stage, Sana found comfortable with the team later. James Albert was pretty impressed with Sam who gave fine performances even in the first takes. Even between shots, Sana hunched over her books, studying for her upcoming exams.
