The 2015 San Francisco mayoral election will take place on November 3, 2015, to elect the Mayor of San Francisco, California.
Incumbent Democratic Mayor Ed Lee is running for re-election to a second term in office.[1][2]
Democratic State Senator Mark Leno had considered running[3] but decided against it.[4] Former Mayor Art Agnos, City Attorney Dennis Herrera, Public Defender Jeff Adachi and former State Assemblyman Tom Ammiano have all also declined to run, leading to speculation that Lee may be unopposed for re-election.[5]
Ed Lee is now being opposed by a list of candidates that can be found on the San Francisco Elections Commission website.
