San Francisco VA Medical Center

The San Francisco VA Medical Center, also called the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center or the SFVAMC, is a Veterans Affairs medical center, located in San Francisco.

History

The SFVAMC was founded in 1934.[1]

Achievements

The SFVAMC's "Telephone Linked Care Program" is accredited by the URAC.[2]

Partnerships

The Northern California Institute of Research and Education is an independent non-profit research organization which is resident in the SFVAMC grounds.

The City College of San Francisco partnered with the SFVAMC to set up a veterans affairs' health office on campus to target users of the G.I. Bill. Craig Newmark reviewed the pilot program and stated that it is a good model for delivering healthcare services you young veterans nationwide.[3]
