San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District

San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District is a school district based in Del Rio, Texas (USA).

The school district serves all of the city of Del Rio and unincorporated portions of Val Verde County.

In 2009 the superintendent took measures to crack down on students from Mexico who were illegally attending district schools.[1]

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

Internationally, Del Rio High School is best known for its JROTC color guard, which has participated in four Presidential inaugurations, three Super Bowls, ten NBA Finals, two Stanley Cup Finals, four Major League Baseball All-Star Games, four NBA All-Star Games, the 2007 NHL All-Star Game, three national political conventions and, most recently, three World Series. Most of the National Anthem performers the color guard has accompanied over the years have been native Texans, including Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Lyle Lovett, and Emilio. The Color Guard has also accompanied non-Texans in their National Anthem performances, including Christina Aguilera, Charley Pride, Zooey Deschanel, Gretchen Wilson, Alanis Morissette, Michael McDonald and Jon Secada. The color guard has been designated "State Color Guard of Texas."
