San E won "Best Hip Hop Song" at the 2010 Korean Music Awards for the track "Rap Genius." Soon after he signed with JYP Entertainment.[5] He was the first hip hop solo rapper to join the label.[7]
On September 6, 2010 JYP released a teaser of San E.[8]
On September 10 San E released a tracklist of his 1st Mini Album entitled Everybody ready?. There are various JYP artists who are featured in the album, including 2PM's Jun. On April 26, rapper San-E released his new comeback song, “Please Don’t Go." This track was a collaborative effort with rapper Outsider and Lee Changmin (of 2AM).[13] On November 23 he released a new single called, "I Want You To Be Unhappy."[14]
2013 : Leaving JYP
In late April, San E ended his contract with JYP. In early August, he released the song "Story of Someone I Know" with a music video starring Nara (of Hello Venus).
The song was San E's first top ten placing song on the Gaon Chart.[15][16]
