Samuel Colman (British painter)

Samuel Colman, also Samuel Coleman, (1780‑1845) was an English painter.
Colman's style is of the Bristol School, and he specialized in apocalyptic paintings, and has drawn comparison to fellow painter John Martin.[1] Colman was a Protestant, and painted works that took aim at the Church of England.[2] He signed works as Colman and alternatively Coleman.
