Personal life
Samridh Bawa was born in Delhi, he is Punjabi but he does not know how to speak the language. Samridh had always been interested in acting from his childhood; he used to lock himself in his room and act, but his initial ambition was to become an army officer or a doctor; he soon grew out of that phase and knew he really wanted to do: acting. He was a shy student in school, "...(he) did not even have the courage to say "Hi" to anyone" as he described in an interview with tellychakkar. He was also not very good at studies in school. When his parents finally agreed to his decision of becoming an actor but only if he does well in his studies, he left everything and concentrated very hard and did really well at school. His parents then knew how serious he was about acting. Samridh is the closest to his sister in his family. Samridh got his first break in Get Gorgeous 6. Samridh has a heavy delhiite accent and he used it to enhance the accent of his character of Omi Dahiya in The Buddy Project (Season 2); he had to speak Haryani dialect and it was difficult for him because he did not even know Punjabi. It still shocks people how Samridh is so good at speaking English because his character Omi did not speak English good at all. At one point Samridh thought he would have to do a corporate job, but he got the role of Kya Huaa Tera Vaada at the right time (This was his first negative character). Samridh was up for the challenge even though he did not look negative. His track in this show was one of the most popular ones, and he gained a lot of fans from this popular TV show (This also helped him get the role of Omi later on, as he got more popular and gained more fans and was more known). He is terrified of formal dress and he does not like the thought of dressing up like that everyday for work. Samridh also loves keeping in shape, he often goes to the gym.[6] Samridh has said if he gets the opportunity to act in Bollywood films he would be very grateful, and delighted to work in them. His first lead role is his character Liladhar in his new show Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali.
