Samir R. Das is an Indian-American Stony Brook University professor who attended Jadavpur University and Indian Institute of Science. He got his Ph.D. in the Georgia Institute of Technology and then worked at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata. Other than that, he was also a member of both University of Texas at San Antonio and University of Cincinnati where he did many researches in computer engineering and computer science fields.[1] As of 2013 his work Ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) was cited over 17,000 times giving him and h-index of 49.[2]
